When I got pregnant, I was starting at ground zero.

I’m the first in my group of friends to have a baby, I’m the oldest in my family, only girl and don’t have older cousins who have had kids before me, so I knew nothing.

I knew going into this, like most things in life, it would take a lot of trial and error to find the things that work best for me as a mom, for my newborn and us as a family.

After doing a lot of research and asking people I really trust, I compiled my own master list. This helped me prepare and gave me peace of mind. If it does the opposite for you, please ignore!

This is not meant to stress you out, it’s meant to give you a starting point if you’re a soon-to-be mom and feeling completely lost.

Laying this all out and organizing it ahead of time actually made me feel empowered! Like I was playing an active role before Monrow was born. I hope by giving you a look inside my brain, you feel even the slightest bit more prepared and even the slightest bit more empowered yourself!
