A: The weekend retreat will take place at The Neighborhood Hotel in Grand Beach, Michigan, which is conveniently located less than 90 minutes outside of the city of Chicago. Here are a few options for getting there...
Driving/Carpooling (Local attendees): Local attendees have the option to drive on their own or carpool with other guests. YIB can assist in coordinating carpools if needed and matching attendees who are interested in sharing rides.
Flying (Out of town attendees): Out of town attendees can fly into either of the Chicago airports (O'Hare International Airport or Midway International Airport) or Milwaukee Airport. Upon arrival, attendees have two options: hiring a car service or renting a car.
Car Service: YIB can provide options for reliable car services if needed. These services can be arranged to pick up attendees from the airports and transport them to the retreat location, as well as back on Sunday after check out. Please let YIB know in advance if you require assistance with booking a car service!
Renting a Car: Attendees can also rent a car from the airport. Several car rental companies are available at both Chicago airports and Milwaukee Airport.
Coordinating Carpools from Airports: YIB can help organize carpools for attendees flying into any of the airports if they wish to share rides with others arriving around the same time.
A: There will be an opportunity to book one-on-one time with Jacq during retreat for an additional fee!
Thank you for your interest in the YIB weekend retreat. We understand that plans can change, and we have established the following cancellation policy to accommodate such situations:
1. Non-Refundable Deposit: Upon registration, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot in the retreat. This deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances.
2. Cancellation Within 30 Days of Purchase Date: If you decide to change your mind or cancel your attendance within 30 days of your deposit prior to payment installations beginning, you will not be responsible for your agreed upon Payment Plan. You will not be refunded for any non-refundable deposits. If you book once Payment Plan installments begin, you forgo the right to cancel without payment in the 30 day window.
3. Payment Plan Installation Agreement and Cancellations: Once payment installations begin (December 1st for April 2025), you are responsible for ALL payment installations, regardless of cancellation or booking dates. You will not be refunded for any payment installations or non-refundable deposits.
4. Notification of Cancellation: If you need to cancel your attendance, please notify us as soon as possible via email or phone. Cancellations will only be considered effective upon receipt of written confirmation from you.
5. Retreat Changes or Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we need to make changes to the retreat schedule or cancel the event altogether, we will provide you with a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit. However, we will not be responsible for any additional expenses you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation costs.
6. Payment Plans: You will have four payments following your non-refundable deposits that occur on December 1st, January 1st, February 1st, and March 1st. Each of these is a recurring payment in our system.
We’re so looking forward to having you with us for the weekend! Please carefully consider your commitment to the YIB retreat before registering and making a deposit, as spots are limited. By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this cancellation policy.
